We are happy to report that Shirley Neighbourhood Care has used a portion of the event's revenues to fill 220 Christmas gift bags with the words, "Thank You SPWC for making this happen."

Lingfield Races and live music night - August 2025
02/08/2025
Those who came to this popular event last year will remember that the racing was good and so was the live evening entertainment. Unfortunately, the weather was positively arctic, which was a shame. This year will be our third visit, so we hope for third time lucky meaning much better weather. Especially as the entertainment this time is an Abba party night featuring a live tribute band playing into the evening.
Further information will follow, but members who wish to join us should let us know as soon as possible so that we can benefit from a group early bird discount offer of £16pp which applies to groups of more than 10. Nonetheless, you can of course purchase your own ticket online at any time right up to the day.
Annual Summer BBQ -August 17th 2025 - The Warren
17/08/2025
We had a fabulous afternoon at the Warren, which turned out to be a great venue, which we had all to ourselves - perfect. We couldn't have been luckier with the weather, a glorious 26c.
We would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to Ian for organising - being our fire starter, setting up the barbecue, and arranging for us all to try our hand at petanque, which was great fun.
A few memories to look back on the day....
Faversham Hop Festival August 2025
31/08/2025
We had a great day at the Faversham Hop Festival. Started with a wee swiftly at the Richmal Crompton (spoons in Bromley), followed by a lovely train journey to Faversham.
The day consisted of lots of laughter, live music, and entertainment and great company and fun, fun, fun. Some of us even squeezed in a brewery tour of Shepherds Neame whilst the rest of the group had a glass or two of wine. We all joined back up at 4pm for late lunch at Ask, for more belly laughs and you guessed it more vino........
Roll on, next years, this has to be one social outing we return to.
Some highlights to look back on ... what did we look like
