Thursday 8th October - A successful evening at our new venue Shirley Library.

Thank you to our committee - Mike/Tracy/Julie/Sue/Heather/Paul/Barbara/Martyn for all their help in securing our new venue, and making the transition seem so seamless- "Dream Team".

This was a huge success, thank you to Kevin Rolfe who entertained us and presented us with 7 delicious wines from Waitrose Cellar.

"Our Severn - Wine Journey"  From the Rhone to the Mediterranean.

 

 

He began in Limoux  (1st Wine - Cuvée Royale Brut NV Crémant De Limoux)

 

Then travelled north to  the loire Valley - (2nd Wine. Picpoul de Pinet "Les Canots")

 

 

Staying in the Loire Vallet  (3rd Wine. Domaine du Vieux Vauvert Vouvray

 

His journey then took us to Occitanie (4th Wine - Paul Mas Viognier Sauvignon Blanc)

Journey continued to the southern Rhone Valley for our first red. (5th wine. Gabriel Meffre Oragnic Cotes du Rhone)

 

We then arrive in Languedoc and were treated to (6th wine- MME Claude Parmentier Fitou)

 

Finally he ended his journey on the meitteranena with (7th wine - Chateau Saint-Hilaire- Medoc Cru Bourgeois Superieur)

 

Well done everyone who helped on the night, we know our new venue will be a great success. Massive thank you to Kevin for his selection and presentation on our inaugural night, not an easy task.
